We're #1, We're #1, We're #1

Madison and her Teammates. (Standing: Alyssa, Britlyn, Emma, Lorna, Cheyenne, Avery
Kneeling: Brittany, Madison, Bailey, Reagan, Hanna, Ashley).  Fall 2010

The girls were in a tournament on November 13, 2010.  They had to play 4 games in one day.  The most they had ever played  was 2 games in one day.  It was an exhausting day for the whole family because Adam also had a tournament that weekend.  Between the two kids,  we watched a total of 9 games.  Gotta love BASEBALL and SOFTBALL. Anyways, The SWATS (softball with an attitude- Madison's team) went into the final and beat and undefeated team (that team was undeafeated for the whole season 10-0).  That was quite an accomplishment  for the girls.  The girls came in first place for the season.  Talk about excitement.  It was Madison's first sport trophy.  She was very PROUD.  She did well the whole tournament.  She told people that she was "AWESOME". (not very modest huh?) . I did not teach her to be like that.  Well, I gotta agree, she was AWESOME !!!!

Madison and Bailey

The girls celebrated their end of the season party at Fudruckers on November 16,2010.

Madison was given an award for being the fastest runner on the team by her coach (Christie).  Way to go speedy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Open Season

 Ready to kill....

Adam shot two deer open season.  He shot a 9 pointer and a spike!

Madison is ready for the hunt !!!!

                Bring back dinner please.

Take a quick picture Dad!  This head is not as light as you think.  It isssssssssss a 9 pointer!
                                                                                         The Huntress
Mom, we are ready to slaughter BAMBI.  Awe, my kiddos say the sweetest thing.
  Check out all the heads...

Can you spot my dog Daisy?  she wants to be part of the action but can't go hunting with the gang.  So she is herding cows instead.  She actually did well.

Our family went on our annual Open Season.  This year the Open Season was on November 6,2010.  This was the first year we took our RV with us. Our family played hookie from school and work on Monday.  The boys were very successful this year.  Vinny and Adam shot a total of 5 deer (Dad-3 and Adam-2).  Nothing for the girls this year.  The season is still not over.  We all had a blast !!! So did the deer.

Halloween 2010

Adam had a tournament Halloween weekend.  If the tournament goes well then we cannot take the kids trick or treating.  Unfortunately, Adam's team did well and we played until 9 pm Sunday night (Halloween night).  All the boys were a little bummed that they did not get to go trick or treating.  We purchased a pirate costume for Madison, I guess she will have to wear it next year.  When we came home, our neighbor had a Halloween Party and made each kid a large sack of candy.  Those frowns sure became smiles quickly.

Unfair Advantage !

Adam is #7 (I guess everyone figured that out already).  Check out his opponent ! I wonder what that kid eats for lunch?  He's Yao Ming's long lost son from Mexico.  The boy is already 6 feet 2 inches tall.

Wishing on a star (another softball star that is)

Madison had her first softball game last Saturday 9/25/10.  She had a double header.  Her team's name is S.W.A.T.  (stands for softball with an Attitude!!).  Perfect team for Maddie.  She claimed that her role model is "my cousin Amanda.  She is a great player and she is SMART."  Madison is right handed but she is practicing to hit left hand (just like Amanda).  Her team did well.  They barely lost the first game (9-8) and blew out the second team (14-0).  Saturday was a long day for us.  Adam also had his tournament that weekend.  Of course, Vinny and I had to split our time.  A. Vinh's family knows exactly how that works.

Sisters think alike !!!

Hey Thu, I think we purchased the same vanity counter as you did.  Before we sold our first home, we renovated our master bathroom.  The buyer told us that was one of the reason why they purchased our house.  So, I guess it was a great investment.  Great choice!  We also put in new tiles.

adam, my little man

Adam is growing up so fast.  He is 10 years old and in the fifth grade.  Some of his favorite things are: watching and playing all sports, collecting hotwheels and baseball cards, eating "red bag noodle", teasing his sister (Madison),  playing games on his DS, fishing with his grandpa and dad, and hunting.  He currently plays with the Lone Star Premier baseball team organization in Magnolia, TX.  He is a great all around player but then again I am his MOM.

A little bit about Maddie

Madison loves to ride horses.  She had only been taking lessons for one year.  Vinny thinks it is too dangerous for her to continue taking lessons.  One day during her lesson, one of the horse decided to take off abruptly and jumped over a high jump pole (the ones that more experience horse riders jump over)and amazingly she held on.  If she had fallen down, she would likely break something. From that day on, no more lessons.  I feel really bad for her because she loooooooves to ride.

Why "in the Boonies?"

Madison asked me why did we use "in the boonies?"  , " I thought we live in Magnolia", " are we hobos or something?"  Well, good question.  I don't really know why.  Alot of my friends always ask me why did I move so far away? " You live in the boonies" they said.  So maybe that is the reason why.  Madison did not like " in the boonies".  Well Madison, when I think of a better phrase, I will definitely change it.  But for now, it is "in the boonies............."  I had to post something because both of my sisters (Tram A.K.A as Rachel, and Lisa) are both giving me a hard time. So here is my first blog.
